Starting year: 1998 renovated in 2016

Throughout the year, young people of different nationalities meet at our Center in Chabrouh, specially designed for people with special needs, foregoing their holidays to take care of our guests (persons suffering from severe mental/motor disabilities but also underprivileged children and elderlies) during camps led by different delegations from all over the world.

The center is located in the heights of the Kesrouan mountains at an altitude of 1,520 meters from sea level and near the dam of Chabrouh. Its recent renovation enables it to adapt to all weather conditions and host camps throughout the year, the target being to serve 1,000 guests per year.

The center now consists of three buildings that meet the latest requirements in terms of security and facilities for disability, it mainly consist of:

A chapel, a dining room, dormitory for men volunteers, dormitory for women volunteers, rooms for guests with disabilities, infirmary, winter games rooms, offices, small apartments for older volunteers, main kitchen, laundry room, cold rooms, storage, gardens, playground, parking. All buildings are horizontally connected at all levels and vertically by an elevator and ramps.

All the disabled toilets have been designed to allow wheelchair maneuvering and have been equipped with showers, removable bars, removable shower seats, etc. A special tub with Jacuzzi jets has been integrated for the treatment of the disabled as well as a crane to help the heavy sick. All electromechanical systems and equipment selected in this project are of the latest generation.

The green spaces and large open spaces create a pleasant environment for relaxation for visitors, volunteers and guests with trees and pergolas to create shady areas.

Today, more than 30 camps are being held in Chabrouh, and due to increasing demand during peak season, in 2018 a new hosting center located in Kfardebian, few minutes away from Chabrouh, has been allocated to the project.
