ABOUT US

The Order of Malta Lebanon has been operating in the health and social welfare sectors since 1957. It manages a network of 60 projects serving the most vulnerable populations, across the Lebanese territory including primary healthcare centers, mobile medical units, elderly day care centers, hosting centers for the differently abled and projects for the displaced and refugees as well as an agro-humanitarian project within the catchment areas of its centers.

The Order of Malta Lebanon has developed a comprehensive multi-annual program to strengthen its social, agricultural and health services as well as its structures.

In this framework, the Lebanese Association of the Knights of Malta / Order of Malta Lebanon is looking for experienced

BUSINESS MODEL MANAGER

LOCATIONS 

HQ - Beirut

SUMMARY 

Lead the development and continuous improvement of social enterprise and business models linked to Agro-Humanitarian Centers, ensuring sustainability, efficiency, and market relevance. Drive innovation, analyze financial and cost-recovery structures, and identify new service and partnership opportunities. Oversee and support business unit staff, ensure alignment with institutional objectives, and collaborate with program, project, and financial teams. Contribute to proposals, sustainability strategies, reporting, and overall business development under the supervision of the Head of Division.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Develop, structure, and continuously improve the social enterprise model

·         Introduces innovative ideas, tools, and approaches to strengthen sustainability, efficiency, and market relevance

·         Design and refine business models linked to Agro-Humanitarian Centers, services, and value chains

·         Analyze cost structures, pricing logic, cost-recovery mechanisms, and sustainability scenarios

·         Identify and pilot innovation opportunities in service delivery, value chains, partnerships, and digital or data-enabled solutions

·         Manage, guide, and support staff under the business unit, ensuring clear task allocation, performance follow-up, and capacity development

·         Ensure staff work plans, outputs, and deliverables align with approved objectives and institutional standards

·         Coordinate with program and project teams to align implementation with business viability objectives

·         Contribute to business-related sections of proposals, sustainability plans, and donor narratives

·         Ensure proper documentation and reporting of business model assumptions, innovations, and performance

·         Coordinate with the Business Controller on financial and execution performance

·         Perform any other tasks related to business development, innovation, sustainability, or institutional under the supervision of the Head of Division

·         Applies and follows the code of ethics, values, mission, and vision of the Order of Malta-Lebanon.

·         Performs other related duties assigned by the Head of Department 

QUALIFICATIONS 

·         University degree (bachelor’s or higher) in economics, business administration, agricultural economics, development economics, management, engineering, or a related field

·         Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, social enterprise management, or sustainability-focused initiatives

·         Demonstrated experience developing business models and introducing innovative approaches

·         Strong analytical capacity related to costing, pricing, and financial logic

·         Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills

·         Proficiency in Computer literacy (Word, Excel…)

·         Fluency in Arabic, English and French (written and spoken)
