The Order of Malta Lebanon has been operating in the health and social welfare sectors since 1957. It manages a network of 60 projects serving the most vulnerable populations, across the Lebanese territory including primary healthcare centers, mobile medical units, elderly day care centers, hosting centers for the differently abled and projects for the displaced and refugees as well as an agro-humanitarian project within the catchment areas of its centers.

The Order of Malta Lebanon has developed a comprehensive multi-annual program to strengthen its social, agricultural and health services as well as its structures.

Project Field Officer

SUMMARY 

The Project Field Officer supports the effective implementation, monitoring, and follow-up of project activities at field level. The position contributes to ensure that projects are delivered in line with Order of Malta Lebanon’s mission, core values, quality standards, and donor requirements, while responding to the needs of vulnerable communities with dignity and accountability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Support the implementation of project activities in accordance with approved work plans, budgets, and timelines.

·         Ensure activities are conducted in line with OML policies, donor guidelines, and agreed project objectives.

·         Assist in organizing and coordinating field activities, sessions, distributions, and community-based interventions with OML field entities and partner locations.

·         Conduct regular field visits to monitor the progress and quality of project activities.

·         Collect and verify field data, attendance lists, monitoring tools, pictures and beneficiary feedback.

·         Contribute to the preparation of activity reports, field updates, and inputs for donor and internal reporting.

·         Support beneficiary identification, registration, and follow-up in coordination with social workers and project teams.

·         Act as a focal point at field level for beneficiaries, ensuring respectful, inclusive, and accountable communication.

·         Promote community participation, social cohesion, and protection-sensitive approaches throughout project activities.

·         Coordinate closely with OML field teams, social workers, volunteers, and facilitators to ensure smooth implementation.

·         Liaise with local partners, community leaders, municipalities, schools, or service providers as required.

·         Identify implementation challenges, risks, or protection concerns observed on the field and report them promptly to the Program Manager

·         Respect confidentiality and data protection standards in all field activities.

·         Ensure adherence to OML safeguarding, child protection, and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policies.

·         Applies and follows code of ethics, values, mission, and vision of Order of Malta – Lebanon

·         Performs other related duties assigned by the Program Manager and Head of Department.

QUALIFICATIONS 

·         Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Education, Public Health, or a related field.

·         Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in field-based project implementation, within an NGO or humanitarian setting.

·         Social background is highly recommended 

·         Collaboration and Teamwork

·         Organizational skills and multitasking skills

·         Good understanding of humanitarian principles, accountability, and protection 

·         Strong field coordination, monitoring, and reporting skills.

·         Good in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint ...)

·         Good in Arabic, an additional language (English or French) is a plus.
