The Order of Malta Lebanon has been operating in the health and social welfare sectors since 1957. It manages a network of 60 projects serving the most vulnerable populations, across the Lebanese territory including primary healthcare centers, mobile medical units, elderly day care centers, hosting centers for the differently abled and projects for the displaced and refugees as well as an agro-humanitarian project within the catchment areas of its centers.

SUMMARY
The Central Warehouse Pharmacist is responsible for supporting the management, monitoring, storage, and distribution of pharmaceutical products and medical supplies within the central warehouse, central pharmacy and MMUs in compliance with Goods Storage and Distribution Practices (GSDP), Ministry of Public Health regulations, and organizational policies.
The role supports the Pharmacist Coordinator in demand planning, stock monitoring, pharmaceutical quality assurance, reporting, and coordination with healthcare centers and Mobile Medical Units (MMUs). The pharmacist contributes to ensuring the continuous availability, quality, and traceability of pharmaceutical products across all healthcare operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies according to GSDP standards and manufacturer recommendations.
· Monitor warehouse conditions including temperature, humidity, cleanliness, and storage organization.
· Apply and monitor FEFO/FIFO principles for stock rotation.
· Ensure proper segregation and documentation of expired, damaged, quarantined, or returned products.
· Monitor stock levels and support the analysis of medication consumption trends across centers and MMUs.
· Assist the Pharmacist Coordinator in forecasting pharmaceutical needs and preparing replenishment plans.
· Prepare regular stock status reports, expiry tracking reports, and inventory analysis.
· Support stock reconciliation, cycle counts, and physical inventory activities.
· Report stock discrepancies and support corrective and preventive actions.
· Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams regarding stock replenishment and pending orders.
· Support the implementation of pharmaceutical quality assurance processes within the warehouse.
· Ensure compliance with Ministry of Public Health regulations and organizational SOPs.
· Maintain accurate pharmaceutical documentation and traceability records.
· Assist in audits, inspections, and accreditation preparation activities.
· Report quality incidents, risks, and non-conformities affecting pharmaceutical products or storage conditions.
· Support in writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Coordinate with pharmacists in centers and MMUs regarding stock requests and pharmaceutical needs.
· Support dispatch planning and distribution of pharmaceutical products to healthcare facilities.
· Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, medical, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
· Support emergency preparedness and rapid response pharmaceutical operations when required.
· Assist the Pharmacist Coordinator in implementing pharmaceutical-related operational improvements.
· Maintain updated records of stock movements, expiries, losses, adjustments, and distributions.
· Prepare periodic pharmaceutical and warehouse reports.
· Ensure all records and files are audit-ready and properly archived.
· Support data analysis and reporting for operational and management decision-making.
· Apply and follow the Code of Ethics, values, mission, and vision of Order of Malta Lebanon.
· Attend relevant training and workshops to continuously update pharmaceutical knowledge and operational practices.
· Perform any other related duties assigned by the Pharmacist Coordinator or Supply Chain and Laboratory Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
· Permission to practice the profession from the Ministry of Public Health in Lebanon.
· Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical warehouse management, supply chain, or healthcare operations.
· Previous NGO or humanitarian sector experience is considered an asset.
· Strong organizational and administrative skills.
· Attention to detail and accuracy.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
· Problem-solving and coordination skills.
· Time management and follow-up abilities.
· Ability to work under pressure in operational environments.
· Computer literate, advance knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Knowledge of ERP System is a plus
· Proficient in Arabic and English; proficiency in French is a strong advantage (written and spoken).
