The Order of Malta Lebanon has been operating in the health and social welfare sectors since 1957. It manages a network of 60 projects serving the most vulnerable populations, across the Lebanese territory including primary healthcare centers, mobile medical units, elderly day care centers, hosting centers for the differently abled and projects for the displaced and refugees as well as an agro-humanitarian project within the catchment areas of its centers.
The Order of Malta Lebanon has developed a comprehensive multi-annual program to strengthen its social, agricultural and health services as well as its structures.

SUMMARY
The Project Coordinator in coordination with the department’s Project Manager and the Social Coordinator oversees the department’s projects, ensuring the effective delivery of food assistance, livelihood support, hygiene kits, and safety services to vulnerable households. This role combines program coordination with hands-on management of the Mobile Community Kitchen (MCK) and other kitchen operations, livelihood activities, quality control, and stakeholder liaison to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and transparently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Coordinate and oversee OML's community wellbeing department projects delivering food assistance, livelihood support, hygiene kits, and safety services to vulnerable households.
· Manage Mobile Community Kitchen (MCK) and other kitchen operations, including meal planning, procurement, food preparation protocols, and staff/volunteer schedules.
· Implement and monitor quality-control procedures for food safety, storage, distribution, and hygiene compliance.
· Support the design and implementation of livelihood activities for vulnerable households, coordinating with the Social Coordinator to link beneficiaries to income-generation and skills-building opportunities.
· Liaise with field staff responsible for implementation, as well as suppliers, partners, and community stakeholders, to ensure timely supplies, transparent reporting, and beneficiary feedback.
· Track project indicators and prepare regular reports to support continuous improvement and emergency response planning.
· Identify and suggest corrective actions and implement them once approved.
· Applies and follows code of ethics, values, mission, and vision of Order of Malta – Lebanon
· Performs other related duties assigned by the manager of the Wellbeing Department
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree in social work, project management, food/nutrition sciences, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
· Experience in project coordination, social services, livelihood programming, food assistance, or humanitarian/relief operations.
· Knowledge of kitchen operations (including Mobile Community Kitchen/MCK setups), food safety standards, and hygiene compliance protocols.
· Minimum 4 years of experience, including at least 2 years in project coordination or management roles, with demonstrated hands-on experience in livelihood programs, Mobile Community Kitchen (MCK) operations, or community/institutional kitchens preferred.
· Prior experience directly running or supervising a Mobile Community Kitchen (MCK) or similar large-scale community kitchen is strongly preferred.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and schedules simultaneously
· Leadership and team coordination skills
· Excellent communication and relationship-management skills for liaising with field staff, suppliers, partners, and community stakeholders
· Strong reporting and data-tracking skills, with attention to detail
· Problem-solving mindset with the ability to propose and implement corrective actions
· Quality control and compliance management capabilities, particularly within kitchen and food-handling environments
· Practical knowledge of livelihood programming and ability to identify and support income-generation opportunities for beneficiaries
· Ability to work effectively in emergencies or fast-paced response situations
· Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity
