Minister of Agriculture Joins Order of Malta Lebanon in Kfarfalous to Reinforce Food Security Across Neighboring Villages
The Order of Malta Lebanon welcomed H.E. the Minister of Agriculture, Nizar Hani, to our Agro-Humanitarian Center in Kfarfalous. The Minister met with local beneficiaries and toured the facilities to witness firsthand the launch of our new support initiative for livestock breeders and families across different villages in the vicinity.
Minister Hani praised the partnership, highlighting that providing specialized feed and agricultural inputs is a national priority to alleviate war-induced burdens, protect food security, and accelerate recovery in the heavily impacted southern regions. At the heart of this intervention is a simple conviction: "Communities that withstood the war and families returning to their villages should be able to produce and eat from their own lands, this is where recovery becomes resilience."
This vital initiative builds directly on the success of our previous intervention in Ain Ebel. Today, our broader agro-humanitarian program proudly covers 70% of Lebanon's agricultural land in terms of services, supporting nearly 15,000 small farmers to ensure they can sustain their livelihoods with dignity.
