THE LEBANESE ASSOCIATION OF THE KNIGHTS OF MALTA (LAKM) / THE ORDER OF MALTA LEBANON IS LOOKING FOR AGRICULTURE SERVICE PROVIDER.

The Order of Malta is present in Lebanon since 1953, it currently manages a network of 60 different operations through which it assists and supports, across the Lebanese territory, every person in need, regardless of their backgrounds, personal beliefs, or affiliations. Its service provision to the vulnerable revolves around three main pillars: The Healthcare Pillar, the Social Pillar and the Agro-humanitarian Pillar, all while establishing a benchmark of excellence, respecting diversity, and serving with humility.

The Order of Malta Lebanon (OML), with the support of its partner Malteser International (MI), has recently developed a comprehensive multi-annual program to strengthen its health and social services as well as its agriculture programs.

In this framework, the Lebanese Association of the Knights of Malta / Order of Malta Lebanon is releasing a Call for Interest for proposal submittals from service providers in the agriculture field to support in the development of an agriculture program around its Agro-Humanitarian Centers (AHCs) located in 7 different areas across Lebanon (North, South and the Bekaa). 

AGRICULTURE SERVICE PROVIDER

Objective/Purpose of the assignment

The Order of Malta Lebanon intends to hire the services of a qualified service provider (SP) with a main experience in the agriculture field. The SP should have sufficient experience in the execution of the required works as per the project’s specifications. The objective of this assignment is to implement the services needed within the project’s timeframe.

Assignment technical description LAKM is seeking support from a service provider to provide agriculture technical assistance around its AHCs as follows:
 - Provide support to design Processing Units (AHCs)
 - AHCs upgrade
 - Support and rehabilitate MOA-affiliated Nurseries
 - Support Partners to promote local Value Chains
 - Provide technical assistance & design of in-kind kits (incl. outreach, assessments…)
 - Upgrading Local Brands
 - AI for Small and Medium Farmers
 - Institutional Strengthening (incl. coaching services & impact evaluation)
 - LAF community cohesion initiative 

Criteria of Pre-Selection All interested bidders must submit the following documents:
 - Legal Documents (Commercial Register, MoF Registration) showing the service provider is formally registered in Lebanon since at least 5 years. The valid registration must show a direct link to the agriculture sector.
 - Company Profile showing company portfolio and agriculture livelihoods and outreach projects implemented across Lebanon.
