Governance

The governance model of the Order of Malta Lebanon (OML) is structured to ensure efficient leadership, transparency, and accountability in all operations. At the highest level, the General Assembly oversees the organization’s strategic direction. Below it, the Board of Directors, chaired by the Chairman, provides guidance and decision-making support. The Managing Director, supported by an Executive Management team, ensures the effective implementation of OML’s mission across its various pillars. Each pillar is supported by specialized committees, while functional and supporting units facilitate daily operations. Additionally, the Board appoints standing committees, including a Spiritual Committee, a Fundraising Committee, a Risk and Audit Committee, and a Human Capital and Governance Committee, which advise and assist the Board of Directors in fulfilling their duties and maintaining high standards of governance and stewardship.
