Our Approach

The Order of Malta Lebanon (OML) has been committed for over four decades to breaking barriers and upholding the dignity of the most vulnerable, fostering a society based on civism, respect, and dignity for all, regardless of race, gender, or religion. OML’s social care approach focuses on creating connections and empowering communities, offering both essential support through initiatives like the Sharing Wheel Program and opportunities for active participation. Through projects for older people, people with disabilities, children, youth, and women, OML promotes integration, social cohesion, and a sense of belonging. From community wellbeing centers for seniors to empowering women to start small businesses, OML’s model prioritizes human dignity and social engagement, nurturing solidarity, inclusivity, and resilience in the face of Lebanon's ongoing challenges.
