Providing Quality Healthcare
When the sick will come, carry him to bed, and then, as if the Lord was welcomed, offer him the best the house can give
It is by that very rule, written as part of its code over 9 centuries ago, that the Order of Malta still lives, to this day.
At the heart of the Order’s mission in Lebanon are the Community Health Centers that were created in the mid 1980s during the war to attend to the sick and the needy population in the most remote villages. Today, they are still very much needed!
Open to one and all, these centers are staffed by health professionals and offer various medical, paramedical and social services of the utmost quality, preserving the dignity of every patient.
Medicine is dispensed in all the Centers pharmacies, which are linked to the central medical warehouse in Beirut, ensuring a continuous supply of the required medication.
