The Youth is particularly involved with our mentally and physically disabled friends, volunteering in various centers and special institutions, ensuring that they are not forgotten.

Monthly Visits to psychiatric institutions

Once a month, volunteers gather on Saturday to spend a joyful afternoon with their disabled friends. These visits allow our friends to constantly feel loved, while creating strong bonds with the volunteers, that perpetuate in the Holiday Camps in Chabrouh. Special occasions such as Christmas, Palm Sunday and Halloween, are always celebrated!

Holiday Camps for the Disabled in the Chabrouh Center

Each Christmas, Easter and summer, volunteers from the Youth get together at the Chabrouh center of the Order of Malta, with other delegations to offer magical holidays to our physically and mentally challenged friends coming from specialized homes and psychiatric hospitals across Lebanon.

Order of Malta Lourdes Pilgrimage

The Youth play an important part along with the pilgrims of the Lebanese delegation during the annual pilgrimage to Lourdes where they look after more than 25 guests with disabilities to provide them with a memorable spiritual experience.

The Disabled

Order of Malta International Camp

Each year, the Order of Malta organizes an International Camp for Disabled People in a different country. The Lebanese Youth joins hundreds of other volunteers from around the world to provide a unique opportunity to our disabled friends to take part in activities that will help them overcome personal challenges in a spirit of inclusion and fun. The aim is to offer them an unforgettable experience, beyond language, cultural and psychological barriers in an environment that enables them to forget for a moment that their disability is a barrier to living life like others. The Lebanese delegation is always composed of a priest, a doctor, a team leader, 8 volunteers and 7 disabled friends.
