Officially launched in October 2017, this project entitled “Improving Health Care of Host Communities and Refugees while Strengthening Health Facilities in Lebanon” of the Center “Charite & Partage” within the Deir Al Ahmar Hospital aims to provide primary and preventive health care services, as well as short-term treatment and emergency services,to the underprivileged local population and refugees. It aims at improving the quality of these services, to guarantee their sustainability and to work to revive Deir Al Ahmar Hospital later.
It also serves to make a small contribution to the rooting of the inhabitants in their village by providing them with job opportunities.
This 3 years project, implemented by the Lebanese Association of the Knights of Malta in collaboration with the Maronite Diocese of Baalbeck-Deir Al Ahmar, is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation & Development (BMZ), through Malteser International.
