Dutch Camp
The Dutch association of the Order of Malta has been organizing summer camps in Lebanon since 2011. Since then, volunteers have been serving differently-abled guests, creating close and sincere friendships. Starting from being total strangers, it is heart-warming to see how relationships are built with the guests as well as with the Lebanese volunteers. It is the little gestures – whether it is holding hands, sitting next to each other or dancing together – that make the guests so happy.
French Camp
The French delegation will be organizing its annual camp in Lebanon for the 5th consecutive year. This year, their team will be constituted of 17 French volunteers, 11 English volunteers from the Jersey Overseas Aid association, 4 Italian volunteers from the Order of Malta, 2 Belgian volunteers, a German and an Austrian.
Thus, this French camp announces its multicultural facet!
They have been traveling and attending camps together for the past five years, and so they have built strong bonds, which encourages volunteers to come back year on year and to further enrich and develop the project for the benefit of the people in need in Lebanon.
