Starting year: 1981

The area of Kobayat suffered a lot from the absence of medical centers during the war. This is why the center opened during this period, in 1981. It was the second center of the Lebanese Order of Malta to be created. Today it has a vital role to play with the presence of the Syrian displaced population as it is also the hub for the Akkar Mobile Medical Unit.

Established in 1981 in Akkar in the north of Lebanon, this Community Health Center caters to the very difficult living conditions of the inhabitants including isolation and poverty. The dynamic presence of the center of Kobayat makes it possible for a whole population to feel supported, thanks to the perseverance and disponibility of the medical team.
