The President of the Lebanese Association of the Knights of Malta, Marwan Sehnaoui, was received in a private audience by His Holiness Pope Francis on February 17th in the Vatican.
His Holiness is concerned by the Sovereign Order of Malta and by the reforms that are being undertaken, at the service of the poor, the sick, the elderly, the disabled, the refugees, and this, within the framework of the Orders sovereignty.
In this regard, exchanges took place between the Holy Father and Marwan Sehnaoui, as well as the activities of the Order of Malta in Lebanon, throughout the Lebanese territory, serving all confessions, preserving the dignity of every human being, in respect of his differences.
In this respect, the Sovereignty of the Order becomes an instrument of Love, Coexistence, Dialogue and Peace.
Sehnaoui prayed the Holy Father to come and bless the Holy Land of Lebanon, which is so badly needed.
