The exodus of young people unfortunately prevails in some rural areas, sadly leaving behind elderly people who are often alone, without financial and social support, not to mention medical care.

In order to address this particular problem, the Order of Malta Lebanon has launched a free healthcare and social service program that is crucial for the well-being of these elderly persons. This much-appreciated Day Care program, was launched in 2004, helping senior citizens become active members of their communities by creating a better environment and responding to their medical and social needs.

Senior citizens are also very dear to our Youth who have launched their own projects for the Elderly.
