Through the excellent quality of care and equipment, this Community Health Center, played an important role in keeping the local population in their villages in times of tensions, especially during the Israeli occupation of southern Lebanon. It still has a vital role to play in the enhancement of the quality of life of the sick and poor population of the region.
In 1999 the center was extended with a Day Care Center for the elderly was created in collaboration with the Nabil Haddad Foundation.
The center also run a Fixed Madical Antenna in the village of Ain Majdalain to facilitate access to primary health care for the inhabitants of isolated regions.

The Center follows the Primary Health Care program set by the Ministry of Public Health following the recommendations of the WHO.
