This is the first Community Health Center of the Order of Malta to be opened in Lebanon in 1957. The objective was to respond to the crucial needs of the inhabitants in terms of medical and social care. The center gained importance during the war, when it was transformed into an emergency center providing first aid to the wounded. Today, the superior quality of the services offered attracts people from various society levels.
It now plays a key role in the context of the decrease in the cost of living in urban areas, especially with the elderly as it runs a partial day care program specially tailored for the senior citizens. It also attends to the Syrian displaced population located in the vicinity.
Medical Services:
The Center follows the Primary Health Care program set by the Ministry of Public Health following the recommendations of the WHO.

Medical Care: Vaccination, Psychology, Speech Therapy, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Diabetic Care

Social Services: Clothes distribution every Monday, medical seminars, medical care and visits to the adjacent school, home visits.
Partial Elderly Day Care Program: The objective of this program is to allow the elderly to have access to medical care but also and mainly to be more active and independent and grow older with dignity and security. The center welcomes everyone above the age of 64 from 8:30 till 13:00, offering them one meal per day.
