The Order of Malta is present in Lebanon since 1953, it currently manages a network of 60 different operations through which it assists and supports, across the Lebanese territory, every person in need, regardless of their backgrounds, personal beliefs, or affiliations. Its service provision to the vulnerable revolves around three main pillars: The Healthcare Pillar, the Social Pillar and the Agro-humanitarian Pillar, all while establishing a benchmark of excellence, respecting diversity, and serving with humility.
In this framework, the Lebanese Association of the Knights of Malta / Order of Malta Lebanon is looking for an experienced.
Head of Social Division

SUMMARY
The Social Care Division Director leads the social care division team. He/she drives the strategic development and implementation of social care programs that align with the mission and values of the Order of Malta. He/she is responsible for ensuring effective program coordination, fostering partnerships with donors and stakeholders, and maintaining high standards of quality, accountability, and evaluation. He/she advocates for the needs of vulnerable populations and represent OML to external partners, ensuring that the Association’s initiatives make a meaningful impact in the communities served.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures that the social programs contribute to strategic goals, objectives and targets aligning with the Order of Malta’s mission and vision.
- Leads and oversees the development of solicited and unsolicited social proposals and concept notes.
- Ensures that social programs implementation is adherent to Order of Malta policies and procedures.
- Establishes productive relationships with donors in close coordination with the Managing Director and the Head of Programs.
- Develops and approves budgets and operations related to social projects and activities.
- Leads on internal and external program/project evaluations as necessary and ensure the execution of baseline, periodic, and final evaluations in coordination with the team.
- Ensures timely submission of reports to donors.
- Collaborates closely with the finance team on budget design processes, financial reporting and all other relevant matters.
- Ensures that proper systems, tools and mechanisms are in place for the effective implementation of the social programs.
- Ensures that the social programs deliverables are completed on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
- Provides ongoing capacity building to all direct reports and fosters a respectful work environment that promotes learning, accountability, and ownership.
- Ensures timely performance reviews and provides staff with constant feedback on work performance and key priorities.
- Participates in the recruiting of relevant team members.
- Conducts field visits as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or project management or equivalent.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience. An NGO experience is a plus.
- Experience in managing projects, monitoring and follow up.
- Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics.
- Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting and budgeting.
- Leadership and people management skills.
- Organization and planning.
- Communication skills (written and oral).
- Collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Detail and quality orientation.
- Flexible and adaptive personality.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
