The Order of Malta Lebanon (OML), with the support of its partner Malteser International (MI), has recently developed a comprehensive multi-annual program to strengthen its agriculture programs.

In this framework, OML is releasing a Call for Interest for Essential Oil Extraction Line suppliers to supply equipment needed for an essential oil distillation unit to be located in Btedii (Deir El Ahmar).

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

LOCATION

SUMMARY

The laboratory Technician carries out laboratory blood tests and performs technical exams using equipment in order to provide information for patient diagnostic

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collects blood for testing and analysis and channels relevant samples for analysis within the center’s laboratory or to appropriate laboratory partners
  • Analyzes samples, generates results and writes relevant reports
  • Conducts and supports scientific investigations and experiments for ongoing medical research in line with Medical team requests
  • Records and analyzes researches and experiments data and inputs them in the Health Information System
  • Applies all procedures and protocols relevant to area of work (laboratory, analysis, equipment, etc.)
  • Calibrates on a monthly basis the laboratory equipment
  • Cleans the equipment, tests it to check its sterility and maintains the required level of hygiene and sterility at all times
  • Communicates results of analysis with beneficiaries and corresponding physicians
  • Maintains stock level of needed products and consumables and informs Accounting and Procurement clerk of needs

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory sciences
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Laboratory Technician
  • Observation skills and attention to details
  • Meticulous
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Collaboration and teamwork
  • Planning and organizing
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office…) including working experience with a health information system (Phenics or other) is a must

Agricultural Technical Expert

SUMMARY

The Agricultural Technical Expert is responsible for managing the production processes and maintaining accurate data records within our agricultural center. This role entails overseeing the implementation of agricultural practices, ensuring optimal crop performance, and leading efforts in data collection and entry to support reporting requirements.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the day-to-day agricultural operations, horticulture nurseries production, agrifood production, ensuring best practices are applied.
  • Monitor day to day seedlings development, food processing, and implement management strategies to maximize quality.
  • Coordinate with other technical staff to ensure seamless production processes.
  • Collect, analyze, and manage data related to production performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of AHC production activities and ensure timely data entry into the center’s management systems (SAP, Phenics…) for the production and programs.
  • Maintain the data management protocol to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of the data.
  • Conduct regular audits of data and records to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with research and development teams to trial new techniques, documenting results and making recommendations for process improvements.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on production, inventory, Programs.
  • Collaborate with the center manager and/or area coordinator to ensure efficient handling of production, inventory, and data management.
  • Stay updated on nurseries and food production trends, and technologies.
  • Applies and follows code of ethics, values, mission, and vision of Order of Malta – Lebanon
  • Performs other related duties assigned by Program Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Technical Diploma in Agricultural Studies or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in agriculture or a relevant field.
  • Proven ability to manage agricultural and agrifood production with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of crop management, agrifood production, soil science, and sustainable farming practices.
  • Proficient in the use of agricultural technology and data entry software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Checks that all vouchers are properly supported by adequate documents

Plays a crucial role in overseeing the general accounting of the association.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Reconciles and follow up daily on Banks accounts, Cash and cheques, Accounts payable and Accounts receivable related to general accounting to LAKM specified projects.

SUMMARY

The Social Care Division Director leads the social care division team. He/she drives the strategic development and implementation of social care programs that align with the mission and values of the Order of Malta. He/she advocates for the needs of vulnerable populations and represent OML to external partners, ensuring that the Association’s initiatives make a meaningful impact in the communities served.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures that the social programs contribute to strategic goals, objectives and targets aligning with the Order of Malta’s mission and vision.
  • Leads and oversees the development of solicited and unsolicited social proposals and concept notes.
  • Ensures that social programs implementation is adherent to Order of Malta policies and procedures.
  • Establishes productive relationships with donors in close coordination with the Managing Director and the Head of Programs.
  • Develops and approves budgets and operations related to social projects and activities.

THE LEBANESE ASSOCIATION OF THE KNIGHTS OF MALTA (LAKM) / THE ORDER OF MALTA LEBANON IS LOOKING FOR COMMUNITY KITCHENS

The Order of Malta is present in Lebanon since 1953, it currently manages a network of 60 different operations through which it assists and supports, across the Lebanese territory, every person in need, regardless of their backgrounds, personal beliefs, or affiliations. Its service provision to the vulnerable revolves around three main pillars: The Healthcare Pillar, the Social Pillar and the Agro-humanitarian Pillar, all while establishing a benchmark of excellence, respecting diversity, and serving with humility.

 

The Order of Malta Lebanon (OML), with the support of its partners, has recently developed a comprehensive multi-annual program to strengthen its agriculture programs.

 

In this framework, the Lebanese Association of the Knights of Malta / Order of Malta Lebanon is releasing a Call for Interest for interested bidders for Community Kitchens located in South of Lebanon.

The Order of Malta Lebanon Is looking for Community Kitchens located in South of Lebanon. The bidder should have the capacity for executing the needed as per the project’s specifications and requirements which are to be communicated after the preliminary examination that will be conducted according to the criteria of pre-selection listed below.

Company Profile showing industrial experience in Lebanon during the

last 5 years and kitchen presence in South of Lebanon

Food Safety & Health Regulations inspection from the Ministry of Health
