In this framework, the Lebanese Association of the Knights of Malta / Order of Malta Lebanon is looking for an experienced.

MMU Field Coordinator

SUMMARY

Represents Order of Malta with regional key stakeholders and coordinates Medical Mobile Unit (MMU) activities ensuring smooth and safe implementation of program and operations’ activities and adherence to LAKM guidelines and processes

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gathers healthcare providers presence and services offered in the region (NGOs, hospitals, labs, etc.) to determine optimal planning and routing of MMU and avoid duplications and coordinate with key players accordingly
  • Tracks MMU activities and monitors indicators and results (# patients, # referrals to Centers, etc.)
  • Identifies actions aiming at enhancing the MMU services in line with region’s needs and following approval of the Program Manager
  • Oversees and modifies MMU routing planning depending on needs and identify proper and optimal MMU field location in each area
  • Liaises with the Healthcare Center Administrator to coordinate MMU activities (identification of uncovered areas, security, MMU logistical needs, etc.)
  • Coordinates Medical Mobile Unit (MMU) activities with team members optimizing working schedules, vacation planning in line with region’s needs (peak / off peak periods, etc.) and staff requirements
  • Delivers information and awareness sessions about MMU activities and planning to local authorities to enhance the reach and increase the number of beneficiaries
  • Liaises with municipalities to organize on site MMU activities and secures needed logistics (rooms, chairs, specific supplies, etc.)
  • Prepares data and documents needed for referrals to PHCs, labs, hospitals
  • Coordinates supplies purchasing (office, consumables, etc.) with HUB Administrative Assistant and with procurement team and ensure compliance with established procurement process
  • Oversees the proper usage, security and safe maintenance of the fleet and the equipment
  • Monitors security situation and liaises with needed authorities to secure staff security
  • Supervises drivers’ activities ensuring high quality and compliance with process (disinfection process, bus maintenance, etc.)
  • Represents the organization at the region’s level and attends various meetings when needed (donors, humanitarian actors, local authorities, protocol, security, sector program,)
  • Discusses agreements to be signed with different health facilities in coordination with the Program Manager and the Representative of the Ministries and local NGOs
  • Attends UNHCR meetings and provides feedback / brief to MMU and project management unit
  • Delivers monthly report and weekly plans on MMU activities including observations and recommendations
  • Participates to recruitment of needed resources and identifies training and development needs
  • Ensures compliance of MMU activities with Order of Malta relevant policies, procedures, protocols, and work ethics
  • Guides, Motivates, and supervises the MMU team
  • Sets monthly meetings with the team or more according to the needs
  • Performs other related duties requested by the Program Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in Business Administration or any other relevant field
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a coordination role working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience in NGO or humanitarian or medical field is a plus
  • Experience in Project Management is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in NGO or humanitarian or social field is a plus
  • Planning, organization, and coordination skills
  • Fluency in Arabic and English, French is a plus
